I. CONCEPT
With this music video, I thought it would be neat to follow Tommy (singer) as he paced around maniacally out of paranoia. I wanted to follow him through a faux-one-shot, while emphasizing breaks of continuity to personify the deteriorating mental state mentioned in the lyrics.
II. EXECUTION
This production was shot on a Nikon D750. I shot handheld through a wide angle lens to strengthen the idea that we were following Tommy as opposed to watching Tommy. For the faux-one-shot vibe, I ended each scene with a whip pan that I blended with the following scene.
III. EPILOGUE
This was my favorite production. It was the simplest I’ve done, but the outcome is one that I am most proud of.
For a concept that I crafted four hours prior to shooting, I think I nailed it.
